The mind is everything. What we think we become.

Can you help?

Hello all, and welcome to the new AWB website. We are currently looking to build this new community and as such we are in need of people to supply articles about Buddhism or their experiences, this can be any short piece about your journey.

We are also looking for any member who wish to share photos or other media.

Please take a look at our "Promotion" page here.

Welcome to the Association of World Buddhists Website!

www.worldofbuddhists.com

The Association of World Buddhists website has been created to build a free community of people who are interested in Buddhism or Buddhist philosophy from around the world. The AWB is a voluntary association that is open to anyone who wishes to discover more about themselves and the reality in which we all reside, everything here is are free of charge, we are non financial and do not accept donations or monies by any method.

There is no hierarchy or structure to our association, instead it is made up entirely of its members and all members are created equally. Although we do have a few administrative roles, we will not tell you what to be or what to think, we will simply present information. We do, of course, retain the right to remove any obscene or offensive material.

You don't have to class yourself as a Buddhist to join the AWB, we are independent of any religion, sect, type, or brand of Buddhism, and all are welcome. We aim to be the lowest common denominator of Buddhism and therefore share a set of values and identity that is equal in all forms of Buddhist philosophy.

Please feel free to explore the website and join our association, if you have any questions then please feel free to ask.

Hello

There is an essay course "Diploma in Buddhist Philosophy" available for £5.50 at

http://www.arcc.8k.com

One 3000 word essay is required covering certain units and then the writer gets the Diploma in the mail.

For those who are continuing their studies and would like acknowledged and feedback this may be useful.

I can relate to comments in both previous posts-this is a good site to learn, get a "taste" of buddhism before pursuing further study and practice-and to interact with others interested in buddhism;but I have been guilty recently of neglect in this regard too-time and other circumstances have prevented me from being as active here(and other like communities)as I had hoped to be! I too like this site and hope to put the resources available here to better use in the future!
Hopefully others will too!

Hello, does anyone visit this site or is it dead before it even got started? I like the site, I hope it can grow and become a nice community for Buddhists of all traditions and for those new to Buddhism to share their views and knowledge.
